Looking for feedback from any parents whose kids got invited to and have gone to (at younger ages) the USSSA All State Showcase event, that happens in late July. Wondering if you found it worthwhile? Just mssg privately through the envelope icon above, if you have any feedback to share.....thanks
Went to the 13's last year, got selected but had a conflict. It's a fun experience. The kids show up and are divided up onto teams. They play a couple of games and they are evaluated during play for selection onto the GA team. I coached a team and made sure everybody played at their primary position and got to hit. Game results meant nothing. If your son has never been to a showcase event, then this is a good experience. The kids from different teams get to hang out and play with each other. I don't think any high school or college coach or scout really cares if this is on your baseball resume. It's really a chance to have a different kind of baseball experience, meet some new baseball friends, and be able to see where you stand in this particular group of kids and have some fun in a less competitive setting.
