The Canton Riverdogs play in the Lanier Baseball League. You can see how they've done on their web site.

Euharlee Mudcats play in the NWBA league. They have also played in some tourneys, USTBA I think and perhaps Triple Crown

OP Storm plays in the NWBA, and has also played tourneys USTBA & TC

Team Wilson just dropped down from usssa Major to AAA. See usssa for their results

Can't help w/ the rest. I'd rate these :Wilson,Mudcats,Storm,Riverdogs

I have a buddy that lives up in North GA and has a son that plays on a Major team there. I don't think that these are majors but it appears that some of these teams may be pretty good. I called him and he said this.

Lightning: Pretty solid team he played them last weekend. Have several solid pitchers and a good defense. If their bats are working they can be tough to beat.

Central Hawks: Neither of us have ever herd of them. They are out of Indiana so if they are coming this way for a tournament they must be pretty good.

Canton Riverdogs: If it is the same as listed on USSSA, they are a AA team and it appears that only on player on their roster has played any travel ball with USSSA prior to this year. But, there is a lot of talent from that area.

Mudcats: Neither know anything about them. They played in a Triple Crown event last week. Maybe someone can tell us how they looked.

Yellow Jackets: Nothing on them, have not herd of them.

Yankees: AA team. Kids are there to have fun

Storm: If this is the team out of Acworth listed on USSSA it appears that they are AA and may be a newly formed team.

Team Wilson: 0-5 in USSSA play but never over look this team. They are out of Hobgood and could be a team that can beat anyone.

I know the Euharlee Mudcats are a solid team, OP Storm are also a very solid ballclub. I have heard some good things about Team Wilson, but they may not be as competitive as some of the others.. I dont know the other teams listed..

I have seen several of these teams and most are solid but not quite yet ready for the big tournaments although there is a lot of potential in this group of teams.

I know the Rome team is a solid little team. No big hitters and pitching good for this age group but not great. They play the game the right way but do not have as much experience as some of the other teams. North Georgia Lightning didn't appear to be ready for the big tournaments although they might upset some teams with their best pitching on the mound. When I saw Euharlee they were a Class A type team.

I was just got an email from a freind up there that said Team Wilson lost in pool play to the Mudcats by a couple of runs. But came back to play OP Storm in the semifinal game. Wilson won by 8 or 10 runs and faced the Lightning in the Championship. Lightning went undefeated with no real close games and run ruled Team Wilson 11-1.

It is true the Lightning is a quality team. They aren't a major team but they did pick up 5 quality players. They have team speed, defence, and pitching depth to compete with most team. Once they get the bats rolling they should do well.

The Lightning may not be a major team, but they are getting close. They have 6 great pitchers that have great fastballs with quality change ups. They have over all team speed and a couple of kids that I would say are amoung the fastest out there. They have a solid defense and with a little work in the batting cages they will be a team that can compete with most anyone.

The Lightning looked impressive again this week, playing in a BPA tournament in Rossville. They won the gold division, going undefeated. They beat a good Chattanooga Chiefs team in the finals 9-5. The pitching was very good and it looks like the bats are finally getting some life. It won't be long until they may be ready to compete with the big boys.
