I will give my predictions for each class up to 3A.

7A- Woodstock or Parkview
6A- River Ridge or Allatoona
5A- Loganville or Buford
4A- Cartersville or Blessed Trinity
3A- Ringgold or Westminster

As always, it will come down to pitching.

7A-Hopefully, Woodstock will play Parkview, they're on the same side of the bracket. That will be a good series, as both are very talented.

6A-River Ridge has one of the best hitting lineups out there, if they get descent pitching, they should win it.

5A-Loganville is trying to repeat, not always easy, but experience helps.

4A-Cartersville should beat Blessed Trinity, in my opinion. It would be fun to watch.

3A-Ringgold beat Redan in the 1st round and I would've picked Redan to win it.

No prizes. However, I am surprised that more don't weigh-in on this subject. I believe this means more to the kids than travel.

No real surprises last night, although Cartersville will have an IF game today.

River Ridge put up big numbers again, as did Woodstock.

Most people on this board are 9u-12u. They don't care about high school ball.

While my son is excited about his school and the playoffs I think the WWBA's are pretty exciting too :- )

I thought toona should have won it all last year with what they had but they have hit better this year. I will take the region champs over the ridge again. if it comes to that. But on paper ridge has better team I think but man those bucs are scrappy. That was a crazy tough region for sure.

Yeah, it's getting exciting now. 3rd round next week separates the men from the boys!

You're right bama21, there are going to be some critical games this evening between some good teams. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Don't throw the towel in on Etowah. They consistently perform best when it counts.

Kind of stinks how the brackets played out. I was hoping to see an Etowah/Woodstock rematch for the title. While the rematch can happen, it won't be for the title, which stinks. However, at least the people of Woodstock won't have to travel 50+ miles to see that match up. Then again, that city might implode if those two play again.

I hear ya.., I don't think anyone is throwing in the towel for any of these teams. At this point in time, regular season records mean nothing. If you have made it to the Elite 8, there is no doubt your team is solid. Anything can happen in the playoff games! This week should be a barn burner for many teams squaring off. Time will tell what happens. Everyone buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Some really good matchups this week. Etowah will get tested for sure playing Parkview. They had a great run last year, so who knows. River Ridge and Pope on a collision course again this year.

No one will have an easy ride the rest of the way, going to be fun to watch.

Not true, Lassiter finished 3rd in their region. I will agree with you on being the toughest region in 7A though. The proof is 3 out of 4 making it to the Elite 8.

I don't believe that the best 16u would beat all of these teams, some yes, but not all. Some of these teams have 6 to 8 really good players with a few of them being nationally ranked.

Also, let's not forget that 2 of the top pitchers in the country lost in the first round and they typically dominate in summer ball. That says something about the talent here in Georgia.

I am going to take Grayson over Woodstock upset in 3 games. Brookwood over Lassiter and Mill Creek over North Paulding. Parkview moving on as well.
Houston winning over Pope, Valdosta with a win over RR, Allatoona winning and Alpharetta winning. If you are betting person take the opposite of what I pick. I came in very last place in March Madness pool at work out of 30 people.

It wouldn't be all of coarse. The overall difference is the top travel ball teams are 10-12 players deep. That's is why for example those 2 pitchers that lost in the first round. The answer.., as good as they are, they are not deep enough on the high school level. Either way, I'm not denying there is some great high school teams.

You don't have to worry about me taking your advice and betting with your picks. You are picking against the entire region with Woodstock, Lassiter, and Etowah.

Hurricane must be a Gwinnett County guy. Picked all the eastern teams.
