Our team has finished playing, our players are moving on to college. We have several wood bats and baseballs left. Any ideas where they could be donated? Organizations, teams...etc. I'm looking for ideas to discuss with our parents and players.
Private organization that provides clothing and other necessities to kids of all ages in foster care. They pass on sporting equipment as well. Everything goes directly to the kids. Located in Roswell. Great people.
Another possibility may be some travel players participating in mission trips abroad. Although they would need to reach out to you. Like Fostercare, I'm sure some less fortunate would truly appreciate your gift
A couple years ago one of the families on my sons team did a mission trip to Liberia in Africa. One the more requested items was baseball hats since its very HOT, since Liberia is close to the equator. We put out a call to the age group and kids from LOTS of teams donated so many of their old travel hats there was enough for every kid in the local school! Over 300! They honestly packed an extra suitcase of just old travel hats that were donated by families.
Was pretty awesome seeing pics of kids wearing my sons old ECB hats over in Liberia, so I'm sure your families will be excited to see the equipment being put to good use.
