Looks like some really good games!! On paper, I think GA has the stronger field without the likes of Mo Steel or the Bullets from South Florida. I guess we'll see how it plays out.

Go Georgia!!!

What is this??? Calif teams were not invited?? I see how you guy's are..LOL

All Kidding aside. We (Nomads Elite) Just finished a the Oakley Invitational in Ca. It had 6 of the Top teams in the nation in it. Every Pool play game was like a Championship game. This looks to be the same.

Good Luck to the Longhorns especially #18 and to his Dad RD I can't wait for Cooperstown. Less than 2 months away.

Ramman you in too!!

This event should be televised....or at least streamed over the web!!!

Maybe an on line updating resource could be established; Twitter or Facebook or something!!!

I never twitted before but I'd start to keep updated on this one.

Won't be any saving pitchers since only two teams get to the bracket!!!!

Longhorns have some injuries on their team. I wish them the best of luck in representing Georgia. I know they'll give it all they got.
All 4 Georgia teams are very impressive and will represent us just fine. Have fun boys and make us proud.

No, we took the wrong week off - this would have been a good one to get into .

We'll see you in Cooperstown though!

643 controls there own to get to the bracket but and it's a big but they have Team Miami at 11am. GA Yard Dogs have a tough Lightning Team and will meed help from Team Miami to go.If both the Yard Dogs and 643 lose North Cobb could still go with a win against MVP. 3 FL teams are 2-1, Team Miami, CBC and the Lightning - wide open tomorrow boys. It comes down to who has any pitching after a long day of baseball against very good teams.

Looks like he Georgia teams and the Florida teams split 8 - 8. Website indicates there was a forfeit involved between GA Yard Dogs Black and TEAM MIAMI ? Apparently they are playing best 2 or 3?

Looks like the Yarddogs are on the winners side of the forfeit.

That was a big win by the Longhorns knocking off a hot CBC squad open the door to the bracket for Team Miami.

What a BRUTAL tourny format....looks like they had to play all 3 of the best 2 of 3 bracket play...Now the dogs have to drive all the way back to the ATL...Guess we know who won't be at work or school tomorrow...

That's gotta be tough

As far as the Forfeit goes, Team Miami had to forfeit because one of their pitchers pitched over his limit and where called on it.

I watched a lot of the games online and had a few friends there at the field. They said the hype does not match the talent on all the fla. teams.

Also Hats off to EC Longhorns going to a tourney without their 3,4,5 hitters. Would have been real easy for them to back out and nobody would have blamed them. So a lot of Character for your team. I look forward to cooperstown.

I was pulling for the upset in the 11am Team Miami vs 643 game, heard 643 got down early but keep them scoreless for the last 3 but couldn't put those last 2 runs across falling 5-4 and just missing out on the bracket. I believe if 643 pulled it off it would have been CBC and 643 in the final - hey but I guess it's karma the way the final ended with the Yard Dogs leading the Miami cheers during the Miami / 643 game. I understand pulling for a team so you get in but I heard their fans where on their side leading the way.

Other than the kid that plays SS, the Longhorns had everybody. The innings pitched shows that.

For the record the Longhorns were missing our shortstop for the whole tournament. The big lefty came back and tried valiently to play and actually toed the rubber and did well but has to go a ways to get into shape and our other player that had the motorcycle accident also tried his best to play but his offense is still suffering because it is so painful on his right side to swing. He pitched an inning and held up ok but that was it. On the flip side, congrats to the Dawgs for representing Georgia but the format took its toll on pitching for everyone. Team Miami is the real deal and they are truly a great team that can find your weakess and exploit it with efficiency and discipline.

Also, congrats to 643 and NC Warriors! Man, those kids played their butts off and also represented our state with great play and great sportsmanship. It was a fun event and an incredible format. Regardless of our overall record, we are proud of our team for battling all weekend and were 2 plays away from a 3-1 finish as opposed to the opposite. Regardless, the experience will pay dividends down the road.

Also, a special shout out to the Team MVP head coach who saw a Longhorn player suffering an asthma attack on 1st base and offered him water and stopped play before anyone could get there. Even allowed us to use a free sub so the boy could get help without penalty to the team. A truly class act! I appreciate it even more because I am the boy's father!

BASEBALLNUTZ: where else are the yard dog fans gonna sit considering they were already sitting there when they played a game at 9am. As far as them cheering for Team Miami. Maybe you don't know this, or care not to tell this but the yard dogs have been playing and traveling with Team Miami since 7year old kid-pitch. The players and coaching know their squad personally. They always have fun when they get together. Also you forgot to mention how both teams showed tremendous sportsmanship by laughing, playing, taking pictures and cheering songs AFTER the last game. Oh but maybe you all were heading up I-75 to notice. Be careful how you use that word karma. Kind regards

Travelballer, The longhorns ended up playing with 2 of the kids that were hurt. Not 100% and maybe not 50%.
Their kids showed guts going down and did not play as well as they had planned. That's youth baseball. Especially, 10u Baseball.....

Hats off to ALL GA teams that went down for tourney.

6-4-3 and North Cobb continue to excite and get better with every pitch and the Yard Dogs played for the ship.

I am sure the Longhorns will be there in the end and will represent GA (with all the other GA teams) well in the upcoming national tournaments.

One last "Hats off to the Yard Dogs". Way to play for the ship.
