No offense but you guys don't do so well on dirt....Better to stick to your all-grass infield as much as possible.

We were just contacted to host some of the tournament at RoadRunner but we said we would only do it if we were the #1 seed and played the championship there...hahahaha....It's 9 12 year olds vs 9 12 year olds, do you really think there is a home field advantage...hahaahh..RoadRunners will play anyone anywhere, not saying we are the better team, just that we would except any challenge from anyone and would NEVER use the umpires or homefield advantage as an excuse...now would all other teamss??? Line-up for this weekends RoadRunner Invitational #2 Jaguars Braves Elite Gamers Blue EC Seminoles and the RoadRunners...does that answer your question?

A lot of good teams wont make it out of pool play this week. It should be interesting to see who gets to the brackets and what they have left.

getusome3ecb-You are right about!!! With the way this tournament is set up and some pools being MUCH harder than others a lot of good teams won't go deep in this tournament. Will be fun to watch some good baseball though!

Have not seen the other scores, The 45's won. I THINK the score was 10-7 but don't hold me to it.

With last nights win for the W/S you guys should be in good shape to make it to the Bracket Play on Sunday with 2 teams coming out of pool F.

I'm looking for Sunday to be some of the best baseball of the season. I hope we are part of it.....

It was a great success with tons of great teams playing. We came up a lil short at the end of the day, but some teams had great showings.

Anyone know where everyone played this past weekend. I saw that the Roadrunners had a small tournament. What was the outcome. Did the Jaguars and Astros play anywhere?

A kid at Kennesaw was pitching 80 mph he was clocked it was #4 from Team Velocity from Tennessee. Anybody know what happened at the end of the tournament cause the White Sox won over the Jags even when they were down by 4 and they didn't play the Roadrunners in the championship that's what I heard.

White Sox were losing to the Jaguars 4-2 in the 4th inning and the RoadRunners were beating the Stampede 5-0 in the 3rd...then the rains came and White Sox were champions because they were the higher seed...

Team Velocity fell to the Braves in bracket play. Braves then fell to the Roadrunners.

Roadrunners and Jags were leading their semi-final games, but the final rains came in and the fields were too soaked to take anymore. So White Sox (as #1 seed) took first place, and Roadrunners (as #2 seed) took second place.

FWIW, I heard that Team Velocity had a kid throwing hard, but I didn't see him and didn't put the gun on him, so I can't verify or deny the 80 mph rumor. If that is the case, that would be the fastest I have seen in the 12 YO age group. Until this point, the fastest I have personally clocked are Goodman from the Astros (76) and Juan from MBA Pride (78). And those two may be able to throw harder, but that is the fastest I have seen them on my radar.

Tn Crush had a gun out on the kid from Velocity and he was consistently in the mid 70's, but his last two pitches were at 79 79....I was standing right next to the gun.

I was the last batter who the Velocity pitcher was throwing 79mph to . He was even faster than he looked. He was easily throwing harder than Goodman and Juan.
We had to turn around the next day and play them again in the first elimination game and they ran the big boy back out and this time he was not throwing as fast and we got to him and beat them. That is what happens when you do not have any pitching rules in a tournament and a coach is trying too hard to win.

Thought we would have more comments after Astros beat the RoadRunners. Not in a bad way, but after all the chat board talk I expected a little more talk than this.

What's up???

I would agree with you on the talent quote --at least with respect to the positions that matter.
