Ok. Congrats and well deserved!!! I was referring to GoState's comments and insinuations about a coach having to call to get into the Boarder Wars tourney-- and then some perceived animosity torward East Cobb. So I assumed that potentially an (undeserving) East Cobb team tried to call their way into the Boarder Wars tourney...
Part of the issue with the ga/fl border war is timing and the criteria. Last year it seems like the super nit results were factored into the invites. Two teams that had a great super nit from ga didn't do well in the border war...
This year, who knows about the criteria, but no doubt that cell block and the gamers should be there. The Dodgers had a good showing and hold down the third spot.
The tribe could argue they deserve to be there over kennesaw based in the super nit showing. Gainesville could argue the same over kennesaw.
The good news is with floating criteria, it's great blog fodder...
In all seriousness, the East Cobb Astros should get strong consideration. Took it on the chin this weekend losing in 12u, but these lumps are making the boys better! Won't make the border war cut due to politics though.
