Just wanted to know if any teams or individuals make special preparations with only a week to go. I know that a tournament like the Frost with this many teams it will take 6 games worth of pitching. My son is pretty serious about the game so we really focus on his arm with a week to go. It's about having his arm (body) fully eneregized with the right diet not so much junk and lots of water. Just some things we do, what about you?
We let our son have a sleep over on Saturday night only, don't want him too tired for Saturdays games. Chili Cheese Fries and lots of milk shakes for post game meal and recuperation is usually fun too. Lots of wall ball and throwing the football with rival team players between games is another thing that should not be left out of 10 year old baseball. Sit back and take a reality check baseball is a game. Most will play 8 to 10 more years. A couple might play a few more years and most of those will be in some crappy mens league. Not much you do or don't do at 10 will affect their baseball career at 17 or 18.
I think some of you guys have overdosed on the chili cheese fries. We need to hurry up and get to the ballfield as the topics seem to running out of chili sauce. Next thing you will want to discuss is when they should quit texting their girlfriends so that we can be sure that the girls are not affecting their mental preparation. Prepare them best you can and tell them to play the best that they can and to have some fun. That's all there is to it.
