Any picks? Looks to be a good turnout.. I know Team MVP and the Savannah Bulldogs are good, but who else in this is a major/elite team? Is the San Diego Fury good? Leaving Saturday early AM for the week should be a fun trip with a lot of north GA teams going...

MVP is clear favorite. Titans can do some damage also. I know a few teams who have made some big pick ups for this.

SD Fury?? Never heard of them. Should be a good tournament though. MVP is the clear favorite. Don't sleep on the West Englewood Tigers from ILL. They can flat out hit the ball. Just saw them in Omaha and they made the final only to lose to the SD Stars. Also Team Combat picked up a couple of new players a few months ago and I heard they are a much better team now.

The winner should come from this group...MVP,Savanah Bulldogs,Tampa Titans,Team Combat,PB Piranaz,CBC Riverhawks and that team from CA..Fury? you can never count out a team from Calif...LOL

Baseball Fan What team are you with? So I can follow along and track.

Just got off the phone with Mandy of MVP and they are ready.

The good thing about AAU is you cannot add kids to your roster from far away. You are only allowed to add a small number of players from the Boardering District to yours. A team from FLA cannot add a kid from Ca. or vice versa. Of course that rule only applys to Non Fla Team...LOL 2 years ago a team from CA tried to add a FLA kid and they wouldn't allow it. But a Fla team had their schedule changed and got to add a player because they were still playing in Cooperstown. Still 85% of the teams in this event are from FL or GA. Yet this year there is more teams from different states than last year.

Yep and word in Fla that tomorrows games might be canceled also.. This is the exact reason they should have a few of these National Events in Calif. It is 78 and Sunny with NO HUMIDITY!!

New Score...TS Debbie 2, AAU 0

I will take rain over earthquakes any day. Hopefully they can get the games in. Not going to know anything until after noon tomorrow. 90% chance of rain. I am an optimist - 10% chance of sun. Ha

Baseball fan, I found out about the San Diego team...The Fury is Legit!!! But you would expect that from a team coming all the way from Calif.

Earthquakes?? LOL we have very few and when we do the ground shakes for a few seconds. Yet you would rather play in RAIN delay after RAIN delay, Hot weather with almost unbearable HUMIDITY along with Thunder Storms every afternoon.

LMAO!! No fair you already knew...LOL It is a team with some of the Better players in So Cal/San Diego....LOL G is having a blast out there. The last time he went to FL was for the Elites last year and he only had time to play baseball with all the Delays. So he is enjoying the time off while there.

I hear ya - when we went at 9u, we kept the kids locked inside when they weren't playing, strict pool restrictions, etc. They got to do the parks and what not once we got knocked out.. Looking back sort of wish it rained more so the kids could have relaxed - not our kids, the Stingrays! They were pretty stout...

lots more rain supposed to be coming. AAU changed it to a 4 game gaurantee tournamnet, 24 in each diamond & gold bracket based on 1st pool now.

Some teams have played all 3 of their pool games and others have yet to play a game?? Whats up with that. Typical Florida Scheduling!!! Make all the out of State teams play LATE and the local teams early...

5:30 update. They will finish noon games but not play any more today. Makes no sense. Why are they not playing late into the night? Is it AAU or Disney?

I am telling you that teams that have finished their pool play games have an unfair advantage because their pitchers can rest for a couple of days before bracket. There are some teams that have not played any games let alone touched a field. Makes no sense to have some teams finish all their Pool Play games and others not even start.

Well I can tell you it is not disney. Because we played until 2 AM at the Elites last year. This will be our last trip to Florida for baseball. Way to much money to spend for Horrible Weather. Been to FL 4 times for baseball and it is the same Crappy weather and Delays. Never Again

Looking at the pool games, AAU should be ashamed for allowing such an imbalance in games to be played. Two entire pools have not even played. My hat off if the top teams come from those two.
